The Colonel Crawford Marching Eagles marched at Bowling Green State University’s football game on September 6. The Bowling Green Falcon Marching Band hosted 13 high school marching bands as they honored our nation’s military at their football game against the Virginia Military Institute. The event was called “Bowling Green Band Day.”
It was a beautiful day and an amazing sound as over 1,000 young musicians joined together at half time to play God Bless the USA, and Salute to America’s Armed Forces from the field at Bowling Green. It was a great experience, and an honor to perform at this event, and the Marching Eagles represented Colonel Crawford and Crawford County extremely well throughout the day.
The Colonel Crawford Marching Eagles are under the direction of Shaun Shotwell, with Color Guard Directors Jessica Hockenberry, and Brandi McCleese. There are currently just short of 60 members in our growing band. We would also like to recognize our amazing parent volunteers that helped to make Bowling Green Band Day a great experience that our students will remember for a long time to come.
