BUCYRUS — Maplecrest would like to tell you a little more about our activities department.
We have activities 5 days a week, they vary in times but there is always something to do here at Maplecrest. Saturdays we leave open for family and friends to come visit with their loved one. Sundays we have church in our dining room that everyone is welcome to come to.
This month Maplecrest starts the lunch outings. This is where we take residents out of the building to a different place each month. For example, they go to the Moose, Pizza hut and Cranberry Hill. Maplecrest does the lunch outings through the summer and they will end in October. Through the winter months the activity director does lunch ins. This is where they bring lunch in to the residents from outside places, such as McDonalds and pizza.
During the summer months we have cookouts every Friday. The menu for the cookouts is different every Friday. If there is something that sounds good or something that you would like to have cooked on the grill, please let one of the employees know.
Maplecrest likes to make our residents feel special on their birthdays. So, when it’s time for your birthday you get to pick the lunch menu that day. When doing so, the 4 food groups have to be covered.
The activity department is hoping to have lots of fun and exciting activities planned for the upcomming months.
