MANSFIELD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Trooper Bryce Imars of the Mansfield Post has been named the Bucyrus District Trooper of the Year, elevating him into contention for the 2025 State Trooper of the Year award, the Ohio State Highway Patrol announced.
Imars was initially selected as the Mansfield Post Trooper of the Year in October by his peers before earning the district-level honor.
A 2017 graduate of Madison High School, Imars served with the Ohio Department of Corrections before joining the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP). He graduated as part of the 170th Academy Class in 2023 and was first assigned to the Milan Post before transferring to the Mansfield Post in 2024.
In his short tenure as a state trooper, Imars has already been recognized for his proactive enforcement efforts, earning the Criminal Patrol Award in 2024.
Imars maintains a strong connection to the community he serves, focusing on developing programs that unite youth and law enforcement. In his spare time, he coaches Junior High basketball for the Foundations Academy and enjoys hiking, hunting, and fishing.
Imars is now one of several district winners who will be considered for the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s highest honor, the State Trooper of the Year award.
