MANSFIELD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Mansfield City School District, a thriving educational community in north central Ohio’s Richland County, is on the hunt for a visionary and enthusiastic leader to fill the role of Treasurer. The district, which boasts an enrollment of approximately 3,153 students, is eager to welcome a professional who embodies moral integrity, inspires confidence and trust, and fosters open communication.
The Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center (ESC) is assisting the Board in its search, with the new Treasurer slated to start no later than August 1, 2024.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will hold a valid State of Ohio Treasurer’s license or provide evidence that one will be obtained. A Certified Public Investment Certification is also required. Previous experience as a School Treasurer is preferred but not mandatory.
Candidates should demonstrate experience in fiscal procedures and sound fiscal management procedures, school finance, budget preparation, fiscal strategic planning and forecasting, funds management, and business operations. Organizational and leadership skills are essential, along with knowledge of the Ohio Revised Code as it relates to school treasurer and treasurer responsibilities.
The ability to skillfully provide financial leadership for the district is crucial. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high degree of moral character and professionalism that reflects positively on the district.
