A Bucyrus man avoided going back to prison, but he will have to be on some type of confinement to stay on community control.

Thirty-three-year-old James Allonas II pleaded guilty to violating the terms of his community control Allonas was placed on community control after receiving a judicial release from prison after his conviction for illegal cultivation of marijuana.

Among the allegations Allonas admitted to were associating with known felons, using opiates and marijuana, and refusing a drug test. Allonas will remain on community control but must go to treatment at a CBCF, namely CROSSWAEH in Tiffin, or another halfway house treatment program approved by the probation department.

In other news from Crawford County Common Pleas Court on Monday morning Daniel Price was arraigned on the felony charge of mishandling of firearms. Price is also charged in Municipal Court with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

Price, an attorney who for the moment is representing himself, was released on a personal recognizance bond.

Two men were placed on community control Monday afternoon after pleading guilty to separate drug possessions charges.

Twenty-eight-year-old Jeremy Wells of Crestline pleaded guilty to a felony five drug possession charge in Crawford County Common Pleas Court Monday. Wells admitted to possessing heroin on Feb. 15, 2013.
Judge Russell Wiseman placed Wells on community control for three years with the condition that he completes a drug and alcohol assessment and any recommended follow-up treatment. Wells’ had his license suspended for six months and was fined a mandatory $1,250 drug fine.

Twenty-six-year-old William Dean of Bucyrus also pleaded guilty to a felony five drug possession charge. A second fifth degree drug possession felony charge was dismissed as part of Dean’s agreement to plead guilty.

Dean admitted to possessing heroin on Aug. 21, 2013.

Dean was placed on community control for three years and will be required to successfully complete an in-patient drug treatment program. He must pay a mandatory $1,250 drug fine and had his license suspended for six months. Dean must forfeit any drug-related property to the Bucyrus Police Department. He was also credited 68 days for time he had served in jail.
Wiseman granted intervention in lieu of conviction to thirty-three-year-old Galion resident Brianna Davis. Davis entered a guilty plea to the felony five drug possession charge, which will be held until she successfully completes her intervention program.

Davis admitted to possessing methadone on April 9, 2013.

Davis was placed on the intervention program for two years and must continue and successfully complete the Alpha Recovery 12-Step Program with Rev. Margie Maddox.
