BUCYRUS — A North Robinson man was sentenced to 57 months in prison Tuesday in Crawford County Common Pleas Court.
Daniel Dillow pleaded guilty to three counts of endangering children. Each count is a third-degree felony and each punishable with up to 36 months in prison.
In a plea negotiation, Dillow, 42, will spend the next 57 months in prison. Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold ordered a pre-sentence investigation be completed before imposing the sentence.
Dillow’s bond was continued until the investigation is complete.
In other court action, Ryan Staton, 35, of Mansfield pleaded guilty to violating the terms and conditions of his community control. Staton was placed on community control in January after judicial release. He was originally sentenced to four years in prison for trafficking in drugs.
According to probation officer Eric Bohach, Staton was found lying in a ditch suffering from an overdose on October 1. He had failed to report for office visits and did not provide his home address to his supervising officer beginning in August.
In a plea negotiation, Leuthold imposed Staton’s four-year prison sentence. The state agreed not to bring new charges against Staton related to the recent overdose. Leuthold told Staton he would not oppose transitional control if the prison requested it.
Caleb Bowersock, 24, of Bucyrus admitted to violating the terms and conditions of his community control. Bowersock confessed to using drugs after a urinalysis came back positive for methamphetamine and fentanyl.
Bowersock was placed on five years of community control after he pleaded guilty to possession of drugs in September, a fifth-degree felony punishable with up to 12 months in prison.
Leuthold sentenced Bowersock to seven months in prison but said he would not oppose transitional control if the prison requests it.
Edward Underwood, 34, of Galion was sentenced to 12 months in prison after he admitted to violating the terms and conditions of his community control. Underwood was on community control after pleading guilty to receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony punishable with up to 12 months in prison.
A urinalysis came back positive for meth and methamphetamines. Underwood admitted to using the drugs.
Leuthold sentenced Underwood to six months in prison for receiving stolen property and six months for the violation of his community control for a total of 12 months in prison. Leuthold said he would not oppose transitional control.
