BUCYRUS — Matthew Clinard of Bucyrus appeared in Crawford County Common Pleas Court on Thursday to plead guilty to one count of trafficking in drugs, a third-degree felony punishable with up to 36 months in prison and one count of receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony punishable with up to 18 months in prison.
Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold sentenced Clinard to 36 months on the drug trafficking charge and 6 months on the receiving stolen property charge for a total of 42 months in prison.
Clinard, 32, was ordered to make restitution in an amount to be determined and will receive credit for jail time served.
In other court action, Cynthia Greene-Osborne, 27, of Galion admitted to violating the terms and conditions of her community control after she tested positive for cocaine in a routine drug test.
Green-Osborne has been on community control since 2017 after pleading guilty to trafficking in counterfeit substances, a fourth-degree felony punishable with up to 18 months in prison. According to the probation department, Greene-Osborne has responded well to supervision and has maintained employment.
Leuthold agreed to give Osborne one more chance on community control.
“You got a free bite of the apple today, but it won’t happen next time,” Leuthold said.
Wendy Oehler, 36, of Galion pleaded guilty to one count of theft, a fourth-degree felony punishable with up to 18 months in prison.
Leuthold sentenced Oehler to five years of community control.
“Community control is not easy. No booze, no drugs, no bars, no felons, you understand?” Leuthold asked.
Oehler indicated she understand. She was ordered to have a drug and alcohol assessment and treatment as required.
Shianne Lucas, 26, of Crestline was taken into custody when she came for a routine visit to the probation department as part of the terms and conditions of her community control.
During the routine drug test, Lucas tested positive for amphetamines and meth. She admitted to consuming the same.
Leuthold found probable cause to hold Lucas for a probation violation hearing. Bond was set at $50,000 and attorney Tani Eyer was appointed to represent her. Lucas was placed on community control in May 2019 after pleading guilty to possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony punishable with up to 12 months in prison.
