A 64-year-old rural Crestline man was killed Monday afternoon when the tractor he was driving rolled over. Loren Hipsher of St. Rt. 96 was declared deceased at the scene of the accident by Crawford County Coroner Dr. Michael Johnson.
That accident occurred sometime around 5:30 p.m. Monday. The accident was reported to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office as a tractor rollover crash on private property.
First responders discovered that Hipsher was driving a 1946 Ford 8N tractor with a front loader near a culvert on his property. The tractor fell into a creek. Also responding to the accident were personnel from LifeStar Ambulance and Tiro-Auburn Fire Department.
Ronk’s Towing Service removed the tractor from the creek. That accident remains under investigation.
