A Pinckney, Michigan resident was injured and taken to Bucyrus Community Hospital from the scene of a one-vehicle crash on U.S. 30 late Wednesday morning. Crawford County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the accident that occurred near Marion-Melmore Road.

Eighty-one-year-old Edward Roberts had been westbound on U.S. 30 when his vehicle went off the left side of the road and struck a guardrail. Roberts’ vehicle then went all the way across the road through another guardrail and rolled over down an embankment.

First responders from the Wyandot East Fire Department had to free Roberts who was trapped in the vehicle. The accident remains under investigation and no citations have yet been issued.
