NORTH ROBINSON― A man was flown by medical helicopter to a Columbus hospital for injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash at 9:02 p.m. Saturday evening.

According to a press release by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Tyler G. Dawson, 29, was traveling east on Crestline Road, west of Ohio 602, when he lost control of his 2007 Yamaha R1 motorcycle. He traveled south off of the roadway into a bean field and was ejected from the cycle. He was not wearing a helmet.

Jefferson and Whetstone Volunteer Fire Departments assisted at the scene and Life Support Team EMS took Dawson to Galion Community Hospital for treatment of his injuries. He was then taken by medical helicopter to Grant Hospital in Columbus.

Ronk’s Towing removed the motorcycle from the field. The crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
