BUCYRUS — The Bucyrus Police Department has identified the driver of a white, large box truck that crashed into two parked vehicles in the 100 block of South Sandusky Avenue early Saturday morning.

According to a dispatcher at the police station, the man has contacted police and the crash is still under investigation.

Mike Dostal said he was sleeping in his third-story residence above his business in the 100 block of South Sandusky Avenue, when he was awakened by the sound of the crash.

A video obtained by Crawford County Now staff shows Dostal’s 2015 Audi A5 and a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee sustaining significant damage after being hit by the truck. Both were towed from the scene.

Dostal said the driver works for Amazon and was on a delivery when he plowed into the vehicles.
