UPDATE: Harold Perdue was flown from the scene of Sunday’s accident to St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Toledo for treatment of his injuries. He is listed in fair condition.
A Sunday afternoon accident seriously injured the driver of a pickup truck who was flown from the scene by medical helicopter.
According to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office the accident occurred just before 12:30 Sunday afternoon when 71-year-old Harold Perdue of Bucyrus was traveling east on Ohio 19.
Perdue lost control of his vehicle, a 2006 Chevy Avalanche, east of Shearer Road. The vehicle went off the left side of the road and continued down the ditch line until it stuck a sign. The vehicle then crossed back over the road and hit two trees.
A dispatcher with the Sheriff’s Office could not confirm the extent of Perdue’s injuries or which hospital Purdue was flown to for treatment.
