BUCYRUS—Michael Klinetop, 33, of Mansfield, was arraigned in Crawford County Common Pleas Court on Thursday.

According to allegations, Klinetop failed to register as a convicted sex offender.

According to Assistant Prosecutor Ryan Hoovler, Klinetop was found guilty of possession of child pornography while he was in the Army stationed at Quantico. He was declared a sex offender and ordered To register with any local sheriff in whatever county he resided in. According to Hoovler, Klinetop had another conviction for failure to register as well as a failure to appear conviction. Crawford County Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold entered a not guilty plea on Klinetop’s behalf.

He appointed attorney Jerry Thompson to represent Klinetop. “This is a very serious violation. That’s why the bond is set at $50,000.”

In other court news, Shannon Thorpe, 44, of Marando, was charged with violating the terms and conditions of her community control.

According to probation officer Jeremy Clay, Thorpe failed to appear for an office visit in April. Since her whereabouts were unknown, a warrant was issued for her arrest. After her arrest, she tested positive for meth, methamphetamines, fentanyl, and marijuana.

Judge Leuthold set the matter for a full hearing and appointed attorney Ed Bibler to represent her. Judge Leuthold set her bond at $25,000.

Debroise Jones, 27, of Mansfield, was arraigned on one count of grand theft of a firearm, a felony of the third degree punishable with up to 36 months in prison, and one count of violation of a protective order, a first-degree misdemeanor punishable with up to six months in jail.

Judge Leuthold Appointed attorney Jerry Thompson to represent Jones, and the bond was set at $50,000.
