GALIONꟷA report of an impaired driver led to the arrest of a man on multiple charges by Galion Police in the South Market Street area.

Eugene J. Flinders Jr. was arrested at 6:31 p.m. on Monday for resisting arrest, operating a vehicle under the influence, possession of drugs, falsification and driving under suspension when officers stopped the vehicle he was driving.

2:01 a.m.-Officers on patrol heard a possible gunshot or fireworks in the Portland Way North area but could not locate the source.

8:39 a.m.-An officer transported to juvenile to Crawford County Juvenile Court from Bowling Green.

9:29 a.m.-Officers assisted EMS personnel in the 300 block of Grove Avenue.

11:18 a.m.-A welfare check was conducted on a child in the 500 block of Galion Arms.

1:52 p.m.-A person was issued a citation for a red light violation and driving without a license in the 700 block of Harding Way West.

1:56 p.m.-Johnathan R. Pasco was issued a citation for driving under suspension in the 800 block of Harding Way West. A woman was issued a warning for wrongful entrustment for allowing him to drive her vehicle.

3:14 p.m.-A man was issued a warning for disorderly conduct while his vehicle was being repossessed in the 700 block of North Columbus Street.

3:22 p.m.-A cell phone found at Speedway was turned over to officers.

4:32 p.m.-A report of a suicidal person was investigated and the person was taken to Galion Community Hospital for treatment.

4:42 p.m.-United Bank personnel reported receiving a counterfeit bill.

5:45 p.m.-Officers attempted to conduct a welfare check on a child at two addresses but could not locate her.

6:08 p.m.-Kids playing basketball at Heise Park dispersed after officers informed them of the Ohio Health Director’s social distancing order.

7:53 p.m.-A report of a woman kicking a dog in the 500 block of North East Street was investigated. The woman advised she scooted the dog with her foot and the dog had no visible injuries.

7:56 p.m.-Officers assisted with traffic at the event for local seniors at Galion High School. The report reads, “Congratulations Seniors!”

8:43 p.m.-A report of juvenile drivers squealing tires was investigated in the 700 block of Harding Way West. They were told by officers to disperse.
