BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—A Bucyrus man wanted on a felony drug warrant was arrested Thursday afternoon and is now facing additional drug possession charges.

Joseph T. Lewis, 40, of Bucyrus, was taken into custody by Officer Randolph around 3:55 p.m. in the 200 block of North Spring Street. Officer Randolph observed Lewis walking and recognized him as being wanted on an active felony warrant for drug possession.

Upon his arrest, Lewis was found to be in possession of approximately 11 grams of suspected methamphetamine and approximately 1 gram of suspected heroin.

Lewis was transported to the Crawford County Jail, where he is being held on his active warrant and the new drug-related charges.

Authorities reiterated their commitment to addressing criminal activity in the area. “If it is still not clear to those choosing to partake in criminal activities in the city of Bucyrus and the county as a whole, our officers and partners will continue to work together proactively to find you and hold you accountable,” a statement read.
