MOUNT GILEAD—On April 27, the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Troy Township Trustees in a court-ordered property clean up. During the clean-up process alleged threats of violence were made against the Troy Township Trustees and the Morrow County Deputies on scene.
The individual who made the alleged threats then locked himself inside a shed and refused to come out.
The Crawford County Special Response Team was contacted to assist with the situation. After a brief negotiation the incident was brought to a peaceful resolution.
Dale Powell Jr was arrested and transported to the Morrow County Correctional Facility. He was charged with Obstructing Official Business, Weapons Under Disability and Aggravated Menacing.
Morrow County Sheriff John L. Hinton thanked “the dispatchers, deputies and the Crawford County Special Response Team for their hard work to bring this to a peaceful resolution.”
