BUCYRUS―A man was arrested early Saturday morning after falling asleep in someone else’s vehicle.
At 2 a.m., a caller reported an individual asleep in the cab of his pickup truck in the 1100 block of Hopley Avenue. Officers found Nicholas Rumple, 27, asleep in the vehicle and arrested him for vehicle trespass and disorderly conduct.
According to the police report, Rumple was very intoxicated and argumentative. He was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held until sober.

1:11 p.m.-Officers investigated a report of identity theft in the 300 block of Nora Street.
1:19 p.m.-Officers picked up an abandoned bike in the 300 block of Sheckler Street.
1:39 p.m.-Officers investigated a 911 hang-up call in the 500 block of Garnet Court. Kids were playing with a phone.
3:20 p.m.- A report of a disturbance was taken at the police department. A complainant reported a possible email scam.
4:46 p.m.- A landlord-tenant dispute was reported in the 200 block of North Poplar Street.
4:47 p.m.-A hit-skip accident was reported in the area of Bucyrus Manor.
6:07 p.m.- A parking complaint was made in the 200 block of Penn Avenue.
6:20 p.m.- A report of a possible breaking and entering was investigated in the 400 block of West Mansfield Street.
7:34 p.m.- A welfare check was requested in the 300 block of South Poplar Street.
8:59 p.m.-Officers responded to an alarm drop in the 100 block of South Sandusky Avenue. It was a cleaning crew.
10:13 p.m.-A disturbance in the North Walnut Street area was investigated. It was a noise disturbance regarding a generator.
11:59 p.m.-Officers investigated an alarm in the 500 block of Hill Street.

12:00 a.m.-A person came to the station to report vandalism to their vehicle. The vehicle was not d damaged but they had been in a dispute with people they did not know.
12:24 a.m.-Officers responded to a disturbance in the 1500 block of North Sandusky Avenue. A drunk man was in the lobby of the hotel refusing to leave. The person was escorted to a residence.
1:46 a.m.-Officers assisted the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office in the East Southern Avenue and South Walnut Street area.
2:18 a.m.-Officers responded to an animal complaint in the 1100 block of Hopley Avenue. A Siberian husky was fighting a bulldog and both were on leashes. The dogs were separated and a report was forwarded to the animal warden.
5:22 a.m.-Officers investigated a reported shoplifting incident in the 400 block of North Sandusky Avenue. A person stole three cans of beer. One of the people involved left their identification behind.
10:15 a.m.-Officers checked a parking complaint in the 600 block of East Oakwood Avenue. The owner moved their car.
1:50 p.m.-Officers investigated a report of a broken window at the Bucyrus Public Library. It was found to be an accident.
2:11 p.m.-Officers investigated a report of a verbal domestic dispute in the 600 block of Wilbur Street.
3:00 p.m.- An overtime parking complaint was investigated in the 200 block of East Rensselaer Street.
3:03 p.m.- A vandalism report was made in the 400 block of East Warren Street. Young juveniles reportedly spray-painted on a garage.
3:14 p.m.- A hit-skip accident was investigated in the 1600 block of Marion Road.
3:25 p.m.- A report of a shoplifting in the 100 block of East Charles Street was taken and is under investigation. A person fled on foot with a can of duster air. The person is described as a male in their 20’s, wearing a black hoodie with a ‘Queen’ logo, tattoos on his face and wearing flip flops.
3:26 p.m.-An alarm was checked in the 300 block of South Sandusky Avenue. It was a false alarm.
3:30 p.m.-Officer met with a complainant at Bucyrus Community Hospital regarding a reported assault. The incident happened in another jurisdiction and they were referred to the Marion Police Department.
4:02 p.m.- A burglary was reported in the 500 block of South Walnut Street.
4:22 p.m.- A welfare check was requested in the 500 block of East Charles Street.
4:35 p.m.-Officers assisted the Ontario Police Department with a welfare check that was requested in the 400 block of West Mansfield Street.
5:29 p.m.-A welfare check was requested in the 600 block of Wilbur Street.
5:47 p.m.-Officers assisted a disabled motorist in the area of East Mansfield and Lane Streets.
8:38 p.m.- A domestic dispute was investigated in the 200 block of Penn Avenue. The issue was mediated and one of two people involved in the dispute left the area.
9:59 p.m.-Officers spoke with a person in the 1500 block of North Sandusky Avenue. The person was involved in a domestic dispute, warned about the misuse of 911 and escorted to their residence from the hotel.
11:52 p.m.-A traffic stop was conducted in the East Mansfield and Fisher Street area.
11:54 p.m.-Officers assisted the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office in the 300 block of West Irving Street where they were dealing with an unruly juvenile. The juvenile was arrested.

12:01 a.m.- A traffic citation was issued in the Wallace Avenue and Rogers Street area when an officer was dispatched for a report of a reckless driver. Upon investigation, the officer located a license plate left behind by a vehicle that had struck mailboxes. The vehicle and its owner were located.
2:11 a.m.-Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 400 block of West Warren Street.
3:27 p.m.-Officers assisted Portsmouth EMS in the 800 block of Sherman Street.
6:22 a.m.-Officers warned a man against trespassing in the 200 block of South Walnut Street.
7:35 a.m.-Officers checked on an alarm in the 1000 block of Mary Ann Lane.
10:02 a.m.-Officers investigated a report of a burglary and assault in the 1300 block of East Southern Avenue. An individual reportedly entered a property without permission and assaulted the resident. The Galion Police Department was contacted to attempt to locate the suspect, and they did, and the individual was arrested and the investigation is ongoing.
10:22 a.m.-Officers investigated a report of indecent exposure in the 1700 block of Marion Road. A male was reported in a vehicle, a maroon van, that left the area.
10:44 a.m.-Officers contacted employees of Hy-Miler in reference to a car stuck in the car wash.
12:00 p.m.-Officers investigated a report of a disturbance in the Bucyrus Plaza area. It was a continuation of a dispute at Bucyrus Estates.
4:08 p.m.-Officers took a report of a private property accident in the 300 block of South Sandusky Avenue. One motorist backed into another.
6:22 p.m.-Officers assisted a motorist with a disabled vehicle in the 800 block of South Sandusky Avenue.
7:37 p.m.-A domestic dispute was reported in the 600 block of N. Lane St. It was a verbal dispute.
7:44 p.m.- A 911 hang-up call was investigated in the 900 block of Failor Avenue. It was a misdial.
10:33 p.m.-Officers responded with EMS personnel to the 800 block of Elm Street at the scene of a non-fatal overdose. The individual was taken to Bucyrus Community Hospital for treatment.

12:52 a.m.-Officers checked on a suspicious person outside Hymiler.
1:12 a.m,-A traffic citation was issued in the 400 block of North Sandusky Avenue.
2:23 a.m.-Officers responded with EMS personnel to the 1700 block of Marion Road for a medical emergency and a person was threatening suicide. An individual was taken to the hospital for assistance.
