“He was taken into custody without incident and is being held at the Crawford County Justice Center,” Koepke said.
Barber is accused of beating a Dudley Street woman in her home with a metal “pooper scooper” used to clean up after dogs on Jan. 8.

Koepke said the woman was released from a Mansfield hospital Monday evening.
Koepke said Barber is expected to have an initial hearing in Crawford County Municipal Court to have bond established as early as today.
He said two other people have been arrested in connection with the incident and are being held for investigation, which include the woman’s daughter, Stacey Hare, and son-in-law, Richard Hare.
“They are being held on falsification charges and for investigation of this crime,” Koepke said.
