Voters passed the majority of levies up for vote in Crawford County for the 2017 general election.
The Wynford Local School District bond levy issue for the purpose of constructing, improving and renovating school facilities, including a new high school, passed by a margin of 1088-940.
“This is huge for Wynford and the students of the future,” Debi Gifford, who was voted to keep her seat on the Wynford Board of Education, said. “I want to thank all of the voters who believe in our school district and the people on the levy committee who worked hard to make it happen.”
The issue passed in Crawford County, 886-737, but failed in Wyandot County 202-203.
The levy put to vote by the Crestline Exempted Village School District, failed by a margin of 390-429. The purpose of the levy was to assist the district in avoiding an operating deficit.
The Crawford-Marion Board of Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services levy for the purpose of covering current expenses, passed 5808-3599.
The Crawford County Children Services levy passed 4843-4561. The 1.5-mill additional levy is for the purpose of operating or capital expenditure necessary for the support of children services and the care and placement of children.
Residents in New Washington passed a 1.5 mill renewal levy, 178-29. The levy is for the purpose of providing and maintaining fire apparatus and appliances and operation of the fire department.
The residents of North Robinson also passed a levy. The 2.5-mill renewal levy for the purpose of covering current expenses passed 20-18.
Chatfield Township was the lone township levy on the Crawford County ballots. The 1.5-mill renewal levy for the purpose of road maintenance and improvements passed 142-28.
