CRESTLINE, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Motorists in Crestline should prepare for a temporary traffic disruption this week as crews perform maintenance on a primary village thoroughfare.
State Route 181 (East Main Street) will close at the railroad tracks on Thursday, Feb. 26. The closure will affect the stretch of roadway located between Railroad Avenue and North Washington Avenue.
According to transportation officials, the shutdown is necessary for railroad repairs and is expected to last a single day. All work is estimated to be completed by the end of the day Thursday.
A detour has been established to guide drivers around the construction zone. Eastbound traffic on State Route 181 will be directed to State Route 61 south, then to U.S. 30 east, following Lincoln Highway back to State Route 181. Westbound motorists are advised to follow the same route in reverse.
Local authorities encourage drivers to plan for extra travel time during the Thursday morning and evening commutes.
