Megan Lyons is the Colonel Crawford Student of the Month for March. She is a senior and the daughter of Mike and Mary Lyons. Lyons is a four-year academic letter earner and is a member of the National Honor Society.
Lyons’ athletic participation includes competing as a varsity volleyball player, being a track team member, and serving as captain of the swim team. Her other activities include F.C.C.L.A., Leo Club and 4-H.
As a member of the Bucyrus United Methodist Church, Lyons participates in the youth group. She also serves as a member of Church Council Youth Ministries where she helped organize and execute Christian youth events across Ohio.
Lyons plans to attend the University of Findlay in the fall to major in pre-vet animal sciences.
Senior Dylan Gulley is the April Student of the Month and is the son of Tony and Robin Gulley. As a member of the varsity football team, he has earned three letters and was chosen as First Team North Central Ohio and First Team N10 Football.
Gulley has earned varsity basketball letters and this year has been awarded the following honors: Captain’s Award, First Team N10, All County Basketball, First Team Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association, and All-Ohio Honorable Mention. He has also participated in the All-Star Basketball Game. Gulley also participates in track where he has earned varsity letters, other honors, and competed at the State Meet.
Gulley’s other activities include membership in F.C.C.L.A. and LEO clubs where he has been active in many service activities. In the summer, he works as a custodian for Colonel Crawford Schools.
As a dual-enrollment student at Hocking College, he has earned credits toward a degree and plans to attend Kent State University to major in nursing.
Both students and their family members were guests of the Colonel Crawford Lions Club at their April dinner meeting. The honorees received a commemorative certificate and a check for fifty dollars.
