Students from various high schools in Crawford County met at their respective schools’ flagpoles at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27; to join thousands of students in a student led prayer for their communities.

Students from Bucyrus, Buckeye Central, Colonel Crawford, Crestline and Wynford high schools participated in the See You at the Pole event.

See You at the Pole is a nationwide event that takes place during the global week of student prayer, according to the events website.

See You at the Pole’s roots stem back to 1990 in Texas and has since become a source of student-led prayer for their schools, peers and communities since its beginning.

The first year began with 10 students and now it is estimated that millions of students across the United States take part.

See You at the Pole is not a school-sanctioned event, but all are welcome to participate. Student-led prayer on school grounds is within the students’ rights to perform.
