A Taste of Crawford County returns next week with an emphasis on the local foods movement.

The Crawford County Farm Bureau will host A Taste of Crawford County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27 at the Crawford County Fairgrounds Youth Building. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the owners of The Pickwick Place will discuss the local foods movement as well as what the agri-centric business will be offering when it fully opens its doors in 2016.

Foods prepared by local commodity groups will be available before the main event starts and a light meal will be served following the presentation.

Ticket cost is $10 for Farm Bureau members and $15 for non-members. Tickets can be purchased from any Crawford County Farm Bureau board member, by calling the county office at 419-747-7488, or through the local chambers of commerce. Only 200 tickets are available for the event.
