Livestock show schedule for the 2018 Crawford County Fair

BUCYRUS — With the Crawford County Fair right around the corner, 4-H members are busy preparing their animals for the various livestock shows and skillathons.

Community members wondering when the shows are taking place, a list of livestock shows and skillathons is as follows:

Sunday, July 15^th 

• 11:30 a.m. – Alpaca Show (Show Arena)
• Noon – Horse Skillathon & Horse Royalty Crowning (4-H Horse Arena)

Monday, July 16^th

• 9 a.m. – Jr. Fair Poultry Show (Poultry Barn)
• 9 a.m. – Swine Showmanship with Jackpot Show ½ hour after then Carcass Show immediately following (Show Arena)
• 9 a.m. – 4-H Horse Show (4-H Horse Arena)
• 6 p.m. – Breeding Sheep Show followed by Market Lamb Showmanship & Market Lamb Show (Show Arena)

Tuesday, July 17^th

• 9 a.m. – Jr. Fair Rabbit Show (Rabbit barn show arena)
• 10 a.m. – Beef Cattle Judging (Show Arena)
• 9 a.m. – 4-H Horse Show (4-H Horse Arena)
• 4:30 p.m. – Beef & Steer: Showmanship & Shows (Show Arena)
  • 4:30 p.m. – Beef Feeder Showmanship
  • 5 p.m. – Jr. Beef Showmanship
  • 6:30 p.m. Beef Breeding Show
  • 7 p.m. – Steer Show

Wednesday, July 18^th

• 9 a.m. – Jr. Fair Goat Show (Show Arena)
• 4:30 p.m. – Dairy Feeder Showmanship
  • followed by Dairy Feeder Show, then the Holstein Steers (Show Arena)
• 8 p.m. – Freestyle Reigning (4-H Horse Arena)

Thursday, July 19^th

• 8 a.m. – Sheep Show Judging (Show Arena)
• 9 a.m. – 4-H Gymkhana (Horse Arena)
• 10 a.m. – Jr. Fair Dairy Show (Show Arena)
• 12 p.m. – District 9 Holstein Show (Show Arena)
• 3 p.m. – 4-H Versatility (Horse Arena)
• 5 p.m. – Jr. Market Hog Show (Show Arena)

Friday, July 20^th

• 10 a.m. – “Back to the Farm” sale for Dairy & Beef Feeder calves (Show Arena)
• 1p.m. – Horse Fun Show (Horse Arena)
• 5 p.m. – Showman of Showman (Show Arena)

Saturday, July 21^st

• 9 a.m. – Jr. Fair Livestock Sale of Champions (Show Arena)
