The 2014 United Way Campaign has raised 75 percent of its $315,000 goal so far this year. With the clock ticking on this year’s campaign, they will need participation from everyone in order to fully fund the partner agencies. This year’s campaign will remain open through the end of February 2015 in hopes of reaching 100 percent of the goal.

The United Way of Crawford County helps support over 30 programs at 24 partner agencies throughout the county. Every dollar donated to the campaign stays local and is awarded to programs that meet targeted outcomes in the areas of education, income, and health.

“Our partner agencies work hard every day to make a difference in our communities and they need our support.” said Bradly Schiefer, UWCC Board President.

United Way of Crawford County does not receive funding from United Way of America, nor do they receive any state or federal dollars. All money raised during the campaign comes from local donations. Every dollar donated is appreciated and counts toward United Way’s mission of creating a better life for all.

“I continue to be inspired by the generosity of individuals and businesses throughout Crawford County.” stated Amber Wertman, Executive Director.

Numerous individuals, organizations and companies have already donated. Now the success of this year’s campaign will rely on response from those remaining businesses, organizations and individuals.

“I have confidence that we will reach our goal, but it will take a special commitment from our entire county to get there.” said Wertman “That is what collective impact is all about…that is what it means to live united.”
