To the Editor,
Recently, the Galion History Center has received a significant number of phone calls and inquiries regarding the City of Galion Design Review Board and the Board of Zoning Appeals. We would like to clarify that the Galion History Center is not affiliated with the Design Review Board or the Board of Zoning Appeals in any capacity. As an independent organization, we do not vote on or provide consultation for historic preservation in any matters that come before these boards. This distinction is important, as it ensures our objectivity and prevents potential conflicts of interest.
The Galion History Center remains deeply committed to historic preservation as a core part of our mission. We actively work to preserve and promote the rich history of Galion and its surrounding townships through education and preservation initiatives.
We appreciate the community’s interest in historic preservation and encourage residents to reach out to the appropriate city offices for matters related to the Design Review Board, the Design Review District regulations, and the Zoning Appeals Board. As always, we remain dedicated to preserving and sharing Galion’s rich history.
Sincerely,
The Galion History Center Board of Directors
