BUCYRUS—League of Women Voters of Ohio Executive Director, Jen Miller, is scheduled to address State Issue 1 at the Bucyrus Public Library on July 24 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The library is located at 200 E. Mansfield St. The event comes amidst ongoing early voting for State Issue 1, which aims to introduce stricter regulations for amending the state constitution. Voters will have until August 8, the designated Election Day, to cast their final votes on the matter.

Born in Shelby, Ohio, Miller was raised in a family of small business owners and farmers. With over two decades of experience, she has worked extensively with diverse communities to promote social justice and civic engagement. Her professional background includes roles with Columbus Recreation and Parks, the Martin Luther King Jr. Arts Complex, Ohio State University, and Global Gallery.

Miller obtained her master’s degree in arts policy, education, and administration from the John Glenn School of Public Affairs at Ohio State. Additionally, she holds two bachelor’s degrees in vocal music and history and ethnic studies from Capital University. Miller is also a graduate of the U.S. Department of Energy NREL Leadership Academy.

Beyond her professional achievements, Miller serves as a board member for several organizations, including the Ohio Debate Commission, the Ohio History Connection, Kids Voting Ohio, and the Ohio Women’s Suffrage Monument Commission. Her passion for music is evident through her involvement as a jazz singer. Furthermore, she is a devoted mother to her daughter.
