GALION — Law enforcement officials responded to a report of a possible breaking and entering situation at Christ United Methodist Church in Galion.
According to a spokesman for the Galion Police Department, a juvenile boy reported seeing an individual in a church office shortly after 9 a.m. Monday, while the juvenile was cleaning an adjacent office space.
The boy reported it to an adult who contacted the pastor and law enforcement.
The individual allegedly left the office space and out of sight of the boy into another part of the building.
The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and Galion Fire Department assisted in the search.
The units searched the premises of the building, including going to the extent of using a thermal camera. The agencies then reviewed security footage from the church.
No one was found as a result of the search.
According to the GPD representative, the investigation is ongoing.
