A Bucyrus and a Mansfield resident are both being held at the Crawford County jail following a trip to Bucyrus Community Hospital early Thursday morning.
Twenty-five-year-old James Cady of Bucyrus and 29-year-old Markeith Chapman were taken into custody following the report of a fight involving a knife in the 400 block of North Walnut Street. Captain Joe Greathouse said Patrolman John Seif and Lt. Kevin Wert responded to the call.
Both Cady and Chapman were wounded, although none of the injuries were life-threatening. Both men were taken to the hospital and treated for cuts and stab wounds. Greathouse said there was only one knife involved and that the case has been forwarded to the Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office for possible charges to be filed.
The case is still under investigation.
