The 6th Annual Boomer and Senior Expo hosted by Kingston Residence of Marion is Friday, May 25th from 10am-2pm. The event is free admission to the public and includes 45+ vendors who provide products, services and valuable information for Boomers and Senior’s. The theme is “Honoring Our Hometown Heroes” and all senior veterans and First Responders will be recognized at a special Noon ceremony. County Commissioner Ken Stiverson will be reading the first ever joint proclamation between the City of Marion and County Commissioners that will honor Marion’s hometown heroes. The Expo will include health screenings, product demonstrations, door prizes, give-a-ways, good food from Wagner Pork, an ice cream social with Riverside Ice Cream and a live radio remote with Jeff Ruth.
Sponsors of the Boomers and Senior Expo include: Ohio Health Marion General Hospital, Kindred at Home, Kindred Hospice, Genesis Rehab Services, Daniel Seink, Elder Law Attorney, Snyder Funeral Homes, Capital City Hospice and Peacock Water.
According to the event organizer Bob Goyer, “The Expo will have everything from Social Security, disability and Medicaid information, Alzheimer’s information, insurance and supplemental plans, funeral plans, retirement plans, travel for seniors and much more. This event will also feature valuable home products, such as: security and emergency devices, orthopedic equipment, health screenings and more. The Expo is designed to make life easier for our boomer and senior generation. Information and assistance for caregivers of seniors will also be included.”
