BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Jury selection commenced today in the Crawford County Common Pleas Court for 53-year-old Stacy Brady, of Bucyrus, who is facing charges of intimidation for allegedly submitting a false report to law enforcement.
Currently held in Crawford County Jail on a $200,000 bond, Brady’s charges are linked to a case involving her son, Lovell Wareham, who was sentenced to 54 months in prison in May by Crawford County Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold for aggravated assault and intimidation.
The investigation into Brady began after authorities intercepted recorded jail calls in which she was heard conspiring with Wareham to eliminate evidence and file a false police report. These calls prompted the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office to investigate Wareham further based on information received from his victim.
During the investigation, authorities learned of nude photographs that the victim claimed were still on Wareham’s phone. Additional analysis of the recorded jail calls revealed that Wareham had instructed his mother to hide the device.
A search warrant was later executed, resulting in the seizure of the phone from Brady, where investigators discovered the photographs identified by the victim.
When Wareham learned from Brady that police had recovered his phone, he expressed despair over the situation, stating he would “die in prison.” In response, the two allegedly crafted a false narrative aimed at discrediting the victim.
Brady is represented by local attorney Thomas Nicholson, and the trial is expected to last two days.
Crawford County Now will continue to provide updates as this case develops.
