The Wynford school district recently recognized several students for leadership, specifically for exhibiting one or more habits of highly effective people.

Recommended for recognition were Violet Rensch for being proactive, Alex Mills for his practice of synergizing, Ashlee Morr for being proactive and Brooklin Brown for thinking “win, win.”

In addition, the Wynford Junior High also released its fall sports scholar athletes for cheerleading, cross country, football and volleyball. The athletes had a GPA of 3.5 or higher for the first nine weeks grading period.

Cheerleaders earning the honor are Alison Gebhardt, Delaney Strickland and Kylee Phonchone; cross country athletes are Soren Gerlach, Katie Tuck, Matt Schiefer, Will Stinehelfer and Ryan Ruth; football players are Caden Pollock, Griffin Davis, Sajan Hoffman, Levi Hartschuh, Aidan Johnson, Logan Collene, Cody Taylor, Lucas Hackworth, Cameron Moone, Toby Butterfield and Wes Wheeler; volleyball palyers are Kaylee Smith, Allison Scott, Riley Lusk, Mia Leuthold, Naomi Beecham, Alesha Pennock, Kearston Hulsmeyer, Aizlyn Green, Kassidy Stanford, Felicity Rumer and Lyndie Williams.
