BUCYRUS—Crawford County Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold sent a Crestline man to prison Wednesday once again, reminding would-be drug dealers their behavior is not tolerated in Crawford County.
Adam Solze, 40, of Galion, was stripped of his freedom and forfeited a large quantity of property and cash to the appropriate authorities.
Solze pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the third degree punishable with up to 36 months in prison, and one count of possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree punishable with up to twelve months in prison.
Solze was given the maximum sentence of 48 months in prison. He will forfeit more than $30,000.00 in cash, a boat and trailer, a generator, a camper, a handgun, a rifle, all ammunition, drugs, cell phones, and a laptop computer.
“You made a substantial amount of money, but these illegal things never last. When you come out of prison, try to find a way to make a living in a legal fashion.” Leuthold said.
In other court news, Joshua Blankenship, 43, of Mansfield, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree punishable with up to 12 months in prison. In an agreed plea negotiation, Judge Leuthold sentenced Blankenship to a flat 12 months in prison. Other charges against Blankenship were dismissed as part of the plea negotiation. He will receive all jail time credit.
Ronnie Thompson Jr., 59, of Galion pleaded guilty to one count of permitting drug abuse, a felony of the fifth degree punishable with up to 12 months in prison.
Judge Leuthold sentenced Thompson to five years of community control. He must complete a drug and alcohol assessment and any follow-up treatment.
