BUCYRUS — Christopher A. Barber, 24, of Mansfield and formerly of Galion appeared in Crawford County Municipal Court on Tuesday for a bond hearing.
Barber has been charged with felonious assault, a second-degree felony charge punishable by as many as eight years in prison.

Barber is accused of beating a 75-year-old Dudley Street woman in her own home. The victim was released from a Mansfield hospital Monday evening.
Municipal Court Judge Shane Leuthold set Barber’s bond at $500,000. He appointed Bucyrus attorney Brad Starkey to represent Barber.
Two others were arrested and charged as a result of the investigation.
The victim’s daughter, Stacy Hare, 53, of Mansfield was charged with falsification, a first-degree misdemeanor. Leuthold set her bond at $10,000 and appointed Bucyrus attorney Tani Eyer to represent her.
Hare’s husband, Richard Hare, 64, of Mansfield also was charged with falsification, a first-degree misdemeanor. Leuthold set bond at $10,000. Attorney Brian Gernert was appointed to represent Hare.
