Though Deb Pinion hasn’t stepped down as Chamber director quite yet, she already has her replacement learning the ropes.
The Bucyrus Area Chamber of Commerce announced Wednesday that Tyler Jacobs is currently working as a trainee for the Executive Director position.
In this position, Jacobs is learning all daily activities, such as answering client and community inquiries, processing accounting, and contributing to the Chamber’s social media presence. Soon, he will begin learning policies and procedures, working directly with our membership, and organizing events to prepare for his future role leading the Chamber.
“It’s a really exciting time for me and my family,” Jacobs said.
Jacobs said he and his wife wanted to move back to Bucyrus upon graduation because they saw the potential in the community and the ability for them to give back.
“I am excited to welcome Tyler to the Chamber of Commerce, and I am confident that he will use his experience, energy, and enthusiasm to make a positive difference in our community. Tyler will be working with me through October of 2016 at which time I will move to a part-time position until April 2017, at which time I will retire. Please join me in welcoming him to this role,” said Deb Pinion, Executive Director.
