Folks looking for something to do in the area on Saturday, September 20, might want to check out the Hillbilly Fair at the Freedom Fellowship Church in Galion.

Lasting from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. this Saturday, the Hillbilly Fair will host various family friendly games including a football toss, wooden games, face painting and sand art. Also featured in the fun and games is the Jail ‘n’ Bail.

“Jail ‘n’ Bail costs $1 to put someone in jail, for the person to get out of jail someone has to pay $1 to set them free. If no one pays to set them free, after a certain amount of time, the person will be set free,” Janice Parsons explained.

It won’t be just fun and games at the Hillbilly Fair, food will also be served featuring a menu of chicken and dumplings, chicken and noodles, fried bologna, grilled corn on the cob, and hot dogs.

Live entertainment from various gospel groups will entertain festival goers throughout the day.

Attendance to the festival will be free; however, to participate in the games it will cost $.50 per ticket. Food will also cost extra.
