The Colonel Crawford Student of the Month for November is Alex Hershey. He is a senior and the son of Leanna and Gregory Hershey. Alex serves as president of the National Honor Society and is secretary of the Class of 2017.

Mr. Hershey also serves as president of the marching band and has earned the H.G. Gary Leadership Award. He is also a member of the LEO Club, Project B.L.A.C.K and Young Life. Alex is a member of the Swim team and plays soccer. He attends Gospel Baptist Church.

Hershey has not decided on a college to attend but plans to major in mathematics.

Madison Sharp has been selected as the January, 2017, Student of the Month. She is the daughter of John and Ruth Sharp and a senior at Col. Crawford High School. Madison serves as Senior Class president and is a member of the National Honor Society.

Miss Sharp is a member of LEO Club, Art Club and Young Life. She is a member of the Swim team and was an All-County All-star in 2014 and 2015. Madison attends the Bucyrus Nazarene Church. She was a volunteer at the Galion Community Hospital during her sophomore and junior years.

Madison has applied to both Vanderbilt and Loyola University of Chicago. She plans to major in biochemistry as a pre-med major.

Both Students of the Month and their families were guests of the Col. Crawford Lions at their November dinner meeting. The Students received a commemorative certificate and a check for fifty dollars.
