There was one place to be in Crestline on Friday and that was the corner of Main and Columbus streets.

Whether you came for packs of water, softener salt, or hamburgers and hotdogs, Hempy Water Conditioning employees were right there to lend a hand.

“Water is more and more a growing concern with everyone,” said Jeff Knedler, President of Hempy Water Conditioning, “whether you’re on municipal water or well water. We take your water that you get and make it better.”

Knedler credited Village Administrator Marc Milliron for the reason that Hempy moved its offices.

“I want everyone to know he’s why we’re here,” Knedler told the community members assembled for the Galion-Crestline Area Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting. “He was warm and welcoming when we made an impromptu visit.”

Located at 216 W. Main St., Hempy relocated its offices from Ontario to the former Jolly Pirate Doughnut Shop in Crestline in May.

Hempy offers full-service water treatment for homes and businesses, which includes softeners, bottled water, salt, and iron and sulfur filters. Knedler said they also provide large commercial units for businesses, factories, and hospitals, as well as drinking water and reverse osmosis systems for homeowners.

Hempy Water Conditioning is open from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. The phone number is 419-683-5555.
