BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—After a deliberation of around 75 minutes, a Crawford County jury convicted a Bucyrus man on eight counts of rape and one count of intimidation of a victim.
Bradley Heater, 58, of Bucyrus is facing 91 years in prison. Heater was represented by court appointed attorney Andrew Motter.
Assistant Prosecutor Dan Stanley credits the brave testimony of a juvenile victim for the successful prosecution of Heater.
The trial, according to Stanley, was notably challenging; “Even after so many trials, this case was probably the most emotionally draining and rewarding.” Stanley said.
Stanley also credited the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office for their excellent work throughout the trial.
Crawford County Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold has ordered Heater to be sentenced in the near future. Heater remains in custody at the Crawford County Jail.
