The Harvey School will have a Christmas Open House from 1 to 4 in the afternoon on Dec. 7. The one-room school will be decorated.
Visitors will have the opportunity to look at exhibits and scrapbooks, take part in constructing a garland and select a handmade gift from under the school’s simple Christmas tree. Music and refreshments in keeping with the 1800s era will be served.
The brick Harvey School was built to replace a log school in 1876. By 1918 the school was no longer in use. The Harvey School is located at 1120 Caldwell Road south of Bucyrus.
