This year the village and township of Chatfield will be celebrating Halloween on Saturday,
Oct. 25th, from 2-4 p.m. at the firehouse. The celebration will include trunk-or-treat from 2-3 p.m. and a party from 3-4.p.m.

For trunk-or-treat, get your kids dressed up, loaded up, then pull up in your car…open up
your trunk, let your kids jump out…You can hand out treats to the other costumed kids who come by and visit with other trunkers. Plan to have 50-75 kids visit your trunk.

Bring a chair, outdoor game and plan to watch the kids play and eat candy, once all the trunks have been visited. If you are really in the spirit, check out some trunk decorating ideas at http:/ /trunkortreat.homestead.com/. Businesses, local politicians, community organizations or clubs and community members without kids are all welcome to bring a trunk and treats to share.

From 3-4 p.m., we’ll have a Halloween Party. Come inside the firehouse for crafts, snacks,
games and more socializing. We’ll have an ice cream sundae bar, homemade cookies and
some spooky punch. Volunteers are needed to help with crafts, donate cookies and help with set-up and clean-up.

If you’d like to volunteer or have questions, please contact Beth Diesch, (419)284-3316.
