A very special guest is coming to Bucyrus this evening and Bucyrus Kiwanis and Rotary clubs are so excited they are throwing a parade in his honor.

The annual Santa Parade up South Sandusky Avenue will begin at approximately 6 o’clock this evening and is expected to be the biggest one ever. The parade route begins at Bucyrus City Hall traveling north to the Home City Ice lot. Santa will be at his house in Picking Park after the parade to see the kids.

Mary, Joseph, shepherds, kings, angels and villagers will all be there to welcome visitors and guide them through this reenactment of the first Christmas night in Bethlehem. Come take a selfie with the Christmas Angels, pray with the kings, receive a free Bible from the Gideons, learn about the first night through a candy-cane story by the shepherds, and receive a personalized “believe” ornament at the stable.

Visitors are also welcome to free hot chocolate and to join the Praise Team in singing Christmas Carols after the parade. The event is courtesy of Your Bucyrus Neighborhood Churches.
