For those who like hearing about the good ole days or have an interest in local history, there will be plenty of opportunity for both this Saturday at the Lowe-Volk Park Nature Center.

milk bottlesTellin’ Tales at 2 p.m. will focus on former dairy operations in Crawford County. Many of those dairies elicit fond memories of a slower, more personal time. Smooth Cool, Andrews, and Sherers are a few. Area bottle collectors will bring sample bottles that carried the products of our dairies. The public is invited to come and share stories, photos, or other dairy memorabilia.

Anyone who has a connection to Leesville or is interested in local history is welcome for the Leesville History discussion at 3:15. Leesville was a busy village in days gone by. It supported many residents plus area farmers too. Feel free to bring stories, advertisements, or other articles that document the Leesville shops and services to share.
