Sometimes a grandpa gets blamed for a lot of things when it comes to his grandchildren and in the case of a Galion man, it was a good thing.

Matt Stuckman officially opened Déjà vu on Monday morning. The store is a buy-sell-and-trade shop with an eye and a market for all types of merchandise. Stuckman talked about his motivation to go into business for himself.

“My grandfather has done this for a long time and kind of inspired me to get a store front and start doing it myself,” Stuckman said

Stuckman’s business model is buying, selling and trading such items as electronics and anything of value including gold and silver, but it is not a pawn shop. It is also a toy store with items such as items as Betty Boop dolls, little metal fire trucks to pedal and hard to find party favors.

“At the same time, we’ve got something for everybody, women, children and men,” Stuckman said.

Although the official ribbon cutting was Monday with officials from the city and Chamber of commerce present, the store was open for buisenss on Saturday. Déjà vu is located across the street from the Galion Area Chamber of Commerce on Harding Way.
