BUCYRUS — Crawford County Common Pleas Court did volume business on Monday after grand jury indictments were returned and served.
Robert Nickens, 22, of Greenfield, Indiana posted a $25,000 bond after he was indicted on one count of receiving stolen property and one count of improper handling of a firearm, both fourth-degree felonies, each punishable with up to 18 months in prison.
Nickens pleaded not guilty to the charge. Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold continued the bond posted and appointed attorney Brian Gernert to represent Nickens.
In other court action, Richard Barnes, 54, of Galion was indicted on six counts of possession of drugs, each a fifth-degree felony and each punishable with up to 12 months in prison. Barnes was also charged possession, a first-degree misdemeanor punishable with up to six months in jail and one count of drug abuse instruments, a second-degree misdemeanor punishable with up to 90 days in jail.
Barnes pleaded not guilty to the charges. Leuthold set bond at $50,000 and appointed attorney Brian Gernert to represent Barnes.
Jason Wade, 48, of Galion was indicted on four counts of possession of drugs each a fifth-degree felony and each punishable with up to 12 months in prison. Wade was also charged with one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor punishable with up to 30 days in jail.
Wade pleaded not guilty to all charges. Leuthold set bond at $50,000 and appointed attorney Brad Starkey to represent Wade.
Adam Hagerty, 29, of Galion was charged with one count of burglary, a fourth-degree felony punishable with up to 18 months in prison, one count of criminal damaging, a first-degree misdemeanor punishable with up to six months in jail and one count of disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor punishable with a fine of $150.
Seth Horsley, 27, of Galion was indicted on one count of complicity, a second-degree felony punishable with up to eight years in prison. Horsley pleaded not guilty to the charge and Leuthold set bond at $75,000. Attorney Neil Huggins was appointed to represent Horsley.
Joelena Dunn, 23, of Bucyrus was indicted on one count of possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony punishable with up to 12 months in prison and one count of drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor punishable with up to 30 days in jail.
Dunn pleaded not guilty to the charges and Leuthold set bond at $25,000. Attorney Joel Spitzer was appointed to represent Dunn.
Joshua Dyer, 37, of Bucyrus was indicted on three counts of possession of drugs, each a fifth-degree felony and each punishable with up to 12 months in prison. Dyer was also charged with drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor punishable with up to 30 days in jail and one count of possession of drugs, a misdemeanor punishable with a $150 fine.
Dyer pleaded not guilty to all charges and Leuthold set his bond at $75,000. Spitzer was also appointed to represent Dyer.
Jessica Rumer, 37, of Bucyrus was indicted on one count of possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony punishable with up to 12 months in prison and one count of drug abuse instrument, a second-degree misdemeanor punishable with up to 90 days in jail.
Rumer pleaded not guilty to both charges and Leuthold set bond at $50,000. Attorney Brad Starkey was appointed to represent Rumer.
Shannon Bush, 35, of Cardington was indicted on one count of possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony punishable with up to 12 months in prison, one count of drug abuse instrument, a second-degree misdemeanor punishable with up to 90 days in jail and one count of drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor punishable with up to 30 days in jail.
Bush pleaded not guilty to all charges and Leuthold set bond at $50,000. Attorney Neil Huggins was appointed to represent Bush.
Shannon Michener, 43, of Bucyrus was charged with one count of burglary, a second-degree felony punishable with up to eight years in prison. Michener pleaded not guilty and Leuthold set bond at $100,000. Attorney Sebastian Berger was appointed to represent Michener.
Joseph Lawhun, 32, of Bucyrus was indicted on one count of receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony punishable with up to 18 months in prison. Lawhun pleaded not guilty to the charge and Leuthold set bond at $75,000. Attorney Brian Gernert was appointed to represent Lawhun.
Nathan Schwing, 39, of Willard was indicted on one count of intimidation, a third-degree felony punishable with up to 36 months in prison. Schwing pleaded not guilty to the charge and Leuthold set bond at $100,000. Attorney Andrew Motter was appointed to represent Schwing.
Tyler Furniss, 24, of New Washington was indicted on one count of possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony punishable with up to 12 months in prison. Furniss pleaded not guilty to the charge and Leuthold set bond at $25,000. Gernert was appointed to represent Furniss.
Brent Stidham, 21, of Bucyrus was charged with one count of having weapons under disability, a third-degree felony punishable with up to 36 months in prison. Stidham pleaded not guilty to the charge and Leuthold set bond at $25,000 and Leuthold appointed Starkey to represent Stidham.
Nathan McAdams, 21, of Bucyrus was indicted on one count of possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony punishable with up to 12 months in prison. McAdams pleaded not guilty to the charge and Leuthold set bond at $25,000. Motter was appointed to represent McAdams.
