MANSFIELD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—GOAL Digital Academy is launching a new evening initiative designed to provide flexible academic and technical support to its students and their families.
The program, called Night Scholars, begins Sept. 29, 2025, and will be available Monday through Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. via Zoom. It was created to assist students who must balance school with work or family responsibilities, as well as parents who need help with coursework or technology outside of traditional school hours.

Students and parents can drop into the Zoom room during the designated hours to connect with GOAL staff for academic support, personalized one-on-one tutoring, and technical assistance. The platform uses Zoom breakout rooms to ensure multiple students can be helped simultaneously.
Superintendent Tish Jenkins praised the program’s creator, teacher Mike Galleher, stating that the initiative reflects the academy’s mission to meet students “where they are” and provide every learner the resources they need to succeed.
“By offering a structured evening program, we’re making sure no student or family feels limited by their schedule,” said Galleher, who serves as the Night Scholars Program Leader.
The program aims to increase student success and course completion rates by providing greater accessibility and flexibility for the statewide online and blended learning school’s population. No pre-registration is required to participate.
