The Galion High School Performing Arts department will present its performance of “The Haunting of Hill House” Nov. 7, 8 and 9. All performances will take place in the High School cafetorium.
Based on the novel by Shirley Jackson, and adapted for the stage by F. Andrew Leslie, this play is set in the present day. The play focuses on a group of people who get together and spend time in the Hill House exploring its sordid history.
“We are very excited to finally perform this outstanding play,” GHS teacher and director Cheri Laughbaum said. “The students have been working hard and practicing diligently to present a top-notch performance for the Galion community.”
Show times for the performance are 7:00 p.m. Nov. 7 and 8, and 2:00 p.m. Nov. 9. Tickets are $6 each, and doors open at 6:15 p.m.
“I am very proud of Mrs. Laughbaum and all the high school students involved in staging this play,” Superintendent Mark Stefanik said. “Every year, our Performing Arts department does an outstanding job preparing our students for their performance, and I invite every member of the Galion community to join me in attending this production to show support for our students.”
