The theme “It’s Small World” brought garden club members and guests from 7 counties in the Ohio Association of Garden Clubs to a fall meeting at The Liederkranz. Speakers included Mark Langan of Mulberry Creek Herb Farm in Huron who constructed several fairy gardens and JoAnn Graham, who designed small and miniature arrangements.

The Earth, Wind and Flowers Garden Club members were present, 10 of them. A flower show schedule written by Michael Hoepf, was entered by June Gebhardt, Mary Lee Minor and Hoepf himself who showed winning dahlias, zinnias and mums. June Gebhardt received a first-place for her crescent design and Mary Lee Minor was first in a class titled “A Dot in the Solar System” a 5 inch design. Mary Lee exhibited a first-place spray mum, an annual calendula, and a round perennial.
Peas-in-a-Pod junior gardeners exhibited tea cup designs and vegetable critters.
President Susan Maynard received certificates for the club’s flower show ‘superior’ rating of the 2015 county fair flower show and a 30th anniversary citation.
