Three members of the Earth, Wind and Flowers Garden Club were highlighted at the Region 7 spring meeting of the Ohio Association of Garden Clubs on April 26.
June Gebhardt was named Outstanding Garden Club member for 2016. Mary Lee Minor earned Best of Show in the artistic division of the flower show with her monochromatic blue design. Michael Hoepf complete his two-year term as chairman of the region’s flower shows.
Eleven members attended the meeting to support Region 7 activities. State Board agenda items were reviewed, an election was held, and seven counties reported upcoming projects.
A themed “Art and Artists” flower show was the focus of the afternoon. Four members of the Crawford County club took part.
The club’s publicity records received a superior rating. Peas-in-a-Pod Junior Gardeners were presented a certificate for 30 years as a club.
