General Electric proceeded to divest its holdings and operations in Galion when it auctioned off contents and equipment at the site of the old North Electric and PECO II operations. Thursday’s auction included office equipment, tools and other heavy equipment in the plant.
Lineage Power purchased PECO II in 2010 and subsequently GE purchased Lineage Power.
GE has moved operations from Galion to Ontario at a facility on Home Road. Approximately 25 people were employed in a full-time capacity at the Galion plant.
